Bespin refugee - July 07, 2018
Here's a look at another SDCC exclusive from Hasbro, the Star Wars: Forces Of Destny Chewbacca and Porg Family Premium Set. In stylized Millennium Falcon packaging, the set includes an electronic Chewbacca figure, action figures of two adult porgs and a porglet nest with two baby porgs. The set will be available at the Hasbro Toy Shop booth at SDCC for $49.99 (roughly £38, AU$67).

The porgs were so funny in the film so I am sure these figures are going to sell like candy!

Is that chewie based more on the concept with the face?

Ive seen a couple of the Forces of Destiny dolls at my local Walgreens... In fact, theyve never sold em. But, I think theylook kinda cool. A big, furry Chewie would be one Id want to pick up, but Id be surprised if they ever stocked him.

That Chewie looks so weird. I guess these are more like dolls for little kids. The baby porgs look like eggs with eyes.

I got the Porg 2pack but kinda surprised they are continuing this line. It seems to just collect dust on the retail shelves even at clearance discount prices.

I mean youre not wrong. I paid $2 - $5 for some of these at Walmart. Actually just got the same Chewie at GameStop for $12 so yeah not sure why theyd continue. Only guess is to make it an exclusive and unload extra Chewies and Porgs they had already made slap an exclusive label on it and it makes more people want it. I saw Luke at the end at TRU and just saw recently Ashoka is on EE but Im guessing itll all end soon.

That version of Chewie is not one of the better ones, imo; it reminds me of the early attempts of the modern 12" (Collector Series) Chewie.Have they released an actualimage of them together, to show the scale? Surely, this is not it, what's the point, to unload excess Chewies?

Is it wrong that I actually want this. Porgs they are addicting! Bought way to many black series 2 packs.
