Mattel Bringing Star Wars 'X-Wing Carship' To SDCC

Bespin refugee - July 20, 2016

Like the Darth Vader car of 2014, Hot Wheels will again bring a full-size Star Wars car to SDCC; the X-Wing Carship

"The Carship, modeled after the distinctive silhouette of Star Wars' X-Wing Fighter, also has a simulated cockpit modeled after the interior of the cinematic spaceship, as well as a 2.0 liter 16 valve DOHC engine, AP dual piston calipers with slotted rotors, and custom Slick tires. With a top speed of 180 mph, the Carship — built out of refurbished race car and jet engine parts — and is, according to Hot Wheels Design, "agile enough to destroy enemy TIE Fighters."

"The launch of the life-size Carship is a first look at our upcoming line of die-cast Hot Wheels Star Wars Carships."

The Hot Wheels X-Wing Carship will be on display at Comic-Con July 21 through 24"
